A facelift addresses the area of the lower face, where "smile lines" have developed around the mouth, and the skin along the jawline has become lax. The definition between the neck and chin is lost in folds of skin, giving a "gobbler" effect.
These conditions appear as a natural result of the aging process and the skin's loss of tone and elasticity.
A facelift redrapes the skin of the lower portion of the face, softening the creases and tightening the skin. The cheek and neck regain their smooth definition. Incisions for the facelift are made near the ears and extended into the hairline. Every effort is made to place the incisions in the skin's natural creases to conceal any scars.
The surgery is performed in our surgicenter with an overnight stay.
